JohnnY StocK is a singer songwriter from London. recently returned from sell out shows across south east Asia. In
the beginning, after touring the London open mic scene during the indie wave in the 2000's, he caught the attention of
Paul McCartney’s publicist at the rock Garden in covert garden. After this, Johnny was supporting Ocean colour
scene, Franz Ferdinand, and Boy kill Boy.
Johnny's unique live performance style kept catching attention of the London open mic scene with loop stations,
delays, and psychedelic effects that captivated crowds. Johnny later ran an open mic in the heart of Camden Town at
the Lock tavern, where he caught the eye of the manager of the Lock-stock festival, who offered Johnny shows with
The Holloways, White Demin, Baby shambles, and the Camden crawl with Ami Whinehouse.
During a show at the famous Powers bar in Kilburn, London, Johnny was discovered by a Liverpool events manager,
who booked shows in the north of England. Johnny was now playing at the famous home of The Beatles, The Cavern.
The Cavern event managers were blown away with the led zeppelin vocals, after the show Johnny was invited to
Liverpool regularly to sing with the house band at The Cavern.
After many shows in the north of England, the Liverpool events manager began to run a music venue in the heat of
the city called The Lomax, which famously hosted Oasis. Regular shows here led to supporting Supergrass, Ocean
colour Scene, Space, Ian Mccnab and Nick Harper, leading to bookings at the famous Glastonbury festival, which
Johnny appeared at the year after. After an appearance at the Peterborough Festival, Johnny caught the attention of
radio presenters and played live sessions for Peterborough Fm, and was later asked to be a guest on BBC
Introducing. After applying for a competition on absolute radio, Johnny performed 'Dance with the lady in the
diamond sky' live on the saturday night late show with 1 million listeners. This caught the attention of O Neil’s
snowboarding brand that placed the song Brand new thang on the on their adverts.
Johnny has a passion for recording, with 5 albums available on all online retail outlets, Live in a cosmic aquarium,
Calling you outside Revolutionvision Electric voodoo times and Astral highway. Increasing an online following being
played on Jango radio, passion radio, Australian radio. Johnny's enthusiasm for festivals will always remain an
important part of his life, during the Isle of White Festival 2012, Johnny signed up to sing at the Nokia stage, where
they were blown away by his vocal range, they asked Johnny to perform everyday at the festival, then invited him to
sing at Reading Festival on the same stage for the next two years. During the cosmic puffin festival, Johnny turned up
for the open mic, asked the stage manager who was playing now? and they said the band haven't turned up, Johnny
immediately ran to his effects pedals and said he can play instead, they were blown away with the show and the stage
manager booked Johnny for the next festival year at the River stage at Cosmic Puffin. Johnny also attended Bicker
stock festival open mic stage, which lead to him being selected for the following year.
In 2015 Johnny's enthusiasm for travelling took him to Asia, arriving in Shanghai as an English Teacher ,Johnny
played regular shows at o neils Irish bar in Shanghia, with over 400 hundred classic cover songs, Johnny was a hit
with the expat scene in Shanghai. 2016, Johnny arrived in Vietnam, teaching English took him to Ho Chi Minh City,
where he quickly became part of the expat scene in the city playing regular cover shows and hosting open mic nights
in the prestigious bars including The crib, Heart of Darkness, Outcast, Hot Wings, and the famous seaside resort
Joe’s Cafe in Muine.
Next stop was Cambodia, booking tours at the famous Kampot travelling backpackers hotel The Karma Traders.
Followed by regular shows in Phnomh Phenh, The Deck, and The Good Times Bar which led to Johnny hosting the
famous open mic and regular saturday night shows in front of the travelling expat crowds.
Johnny arrived in Yangon, immediately in search for the open mic, Yangon was bustling with travellers looking for
Buddhist escapism and culture. After stumbling upon the famous venue 7h joint, Johnny was a weekly performer at
this venue playing to hundreds of locals and expats, Johnny caught the attention of locals and played at Vevuzula Bar
and the famous Novotel hotel on a weekly basis. The journey of music touring and adventure will continue, watch this
